What we do at Brampton Real Estate Board
The Brampton Real Estate Board (BREB) was established in 1955 by a group of local real estate brokers who recognized the need for standardization of practices and collaboration in the marketing of real estate. The BREB holds memberships in the Ontario and Canadian Real Estate Associations, and all members adhere to a strict Code of Ethics established by the Canadian Association and RECO, the Real Estate Council of Ontario. At BREB, we strongly believe in real estate ownership. Our mission is to provide members with resources, education, and support for their success. We contribute to the capability and growth of our members by marketing all forms of real property throughout the greater Brampton, Halton Hills, and Caledon marketplaces and beyond. BREB is committed to creating an environment where Member REALTORS®, employees, the Board of Directors, sponsors, and committee volunteers are encouraged to grow, succeed, and develop, ensuring the highest level of professional conduct and service. The original "Photo Co-Op" system has evolved into an ultimate service for Members, buyers, and sellers. Introduced in 1982, computerization enhances accuracy and speed, enabling Members to search the market, conduct investment analysis, and compare sales. The computerization of the MLS® System is one of the reasons why Members of the Brampton Real Estate Board can maintain a high standard of professional service as REALTORS®. Today, BREB boasts a membership of over 1,580 REALTOR® Members and over 160 brokerage offices engaged in all aspects of real estate.
